Meet Dusty
I didn't set out to become a gecko breeder. I just wanted to build cool terrariums. Then I brought home my first crested gecko from a local Texas expo, and everything changed. The quirky personalities. The sticky toes. The wildly complex genetics. I was hooked.
I'm Dusty—software engineer and the overly caffeinated brain behind Geckistry. I grew up showing dogs and exploring the outdoors, and I've owned, bred, and raised a variety of animals over the years—always with integrity and passion. That same dedication now drives my gecko program.
What started as a hobby turned into a full breeding and research initiative. I wanted to meaningfully contribute to the existing genetic knowledge for both crested geckos and leachies, so I started tracking everything: pairings, outcomes, genetics, structure. If there's data to log, I'm logging it.
